Lent Resources 2021
A special series of Lent resources – based around the refreshed God for All vision and its four themes – is available here, provided by Bishop Emma.
The resources include:
Sermon notes/sermons for each of the five Sundays of Lent, based on the lectionary Gospel reading for each Sunday, and introducing the four themes of the refreshed vision, Simple discussion materials/Bible study notes that follow up on each sermon (or could stand alone), and that could be used as part of a similar Lent course.
Bishop Emma said: “As part of our extensive consultations around the God for All refreshed vision, we committed to providing further resources that would be made readily available for everyone.
“My hope is that these resources will offer our church communities the chance to reflect further on how we can all follow daily, speak boldly, care deeply and tread gently, particularly in this period of Lent as we reflect, recommit and rededicate all we do to God.”
There are similar events being held at 8pm at:

Rev. Tony Ford, the vicar of St. Mark's in Barrow, has taken on a new role as the chaplain for BAE Systems in Barrow, the UK's leading submarine building site. After a six-year gap without a chaplain, Tony has reintroduced this vital support service to the company, where over 13,500 people work, with that number expected to grow. His chaplaincy provides emotional and spiritual support to workers of all faiths, or none, and is part of the company's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. Tony balances his role at BAE with his duties at St. Mark's and the Barrow Raiders rugby team. He aims to eventually develop a chaplaincy team on-site, ensuring ongoing support for employees facing various life challenges.
