Helping your church grow!
Research from over 80,000 churches worldwide (that’s over 6 times bigger than the entire Church of England!) has shown that just as plants need the correct nutrients in the soil to be healthy and grow, so churches also need the right ‘nutrients’ to grow. These nutrients are essential qualities, not activities. There are 8 Essential Qualities, all of which are needed at a high level for a church to grow. Miss any of them out and a church will decline.
Who is it for?
Any church or grouping of churches, of any size, in any context, and of any tradition. If you are static numerically or declining as a church, it will reveal why, and give some helpful insights in how to help turn that situation around. If you are in a growing church, it will help you understand why you are growing, and what you will need to apply to keep growing more.
What resources or time are needed?
Initially, a presentation from Morris that lasts about an hour, plus some time for questions. He can do this for incumbents, PCCs, and/or whole congregations. Some choose to do it in that order! The presentation can be by ZOOM, though live is always better. The presentation will outline the whole approach. There is no cost for the presentation, and no pressure to commit to anything afterwards.
Help your church grow! The presentation is frequently described as ‘inspiring’ and will probably open your eyes about the qualities that are necessary in a church congregation for the church to grow. If you decide to properly apply the principles of NCD, all the research across the world, and Morris’ personal experience in applying it across a Diocese and in churches he has been part of, is that your church will become a much healthier Christian community and grow as a result.
